Vikings, caterpillars and chickens at Danetree Primary School

Traditional Viking clothing was used alongside modern technology to allow pupils to discover more about the Scandinavian invaders. The children used the internet to research the subject before stepping back in time to become Vikings and enjoy crafts and food-tasting.
Meanwhile Year 5 pupils had the chance to meet a clutch of caterpillars which will be sharing the classroom until they transform into Ladybirds.
“We have had a busy few days but the children have thoroughly enjoyed the diversity of topics we have been exploring,” said Head Teacher James Broad.
Not wishing to be left out, class 4L introduced themselves to chickens at the school and
Year 5 pupils have been studying the habitats of woodlice.
