GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Dance Club

 

Club Leader: Mrs Edwards and Miss Thorne

Day and time: Thursday 7:45 - 8:30 am

Would you like to enjoy a lovely story after school and talk about the characters and why things happen in different stories?

 

Perhaps you have a favourite story that you would like to share with us or you could even read it aloud to the club?

 

If you love listening to stories, then come and relax after school with me. We will try to be outside in the sunshine as much as possible.

Drawing and Design Club

Nature Club

Spring and summer are the best times of the year to see Britain's amazing wildlife and nature! From beautiful, vibrant wildflowers to birds flying all the way from Africa to nest in West Ewell.

 

So, if you love nature and wildlife; want to find out more about the amazing nature and wildlife that are on our doorstep and if you want to make Danetree a home to wildlife, then come to ‘Nature Club’ on a Monday, afterschool.

 

Card Games Club

Do you love card games?

Would you like to learn to play all sorts of different card games with your friends and family? 

If this sounds like fun, please come to Card Games Club.  We meet in Owls class after school on Thursdays and I think we will have a lot of fun.

You will learn the rules to all sorts of different card games.  If you already know some card game rules, you can teach them to us! 

Join in and play with us after school on Thursday :)

 

Animal Club

Funky Fingers Club

Let's get our funky fingers moving,  by  practising and developing our important fine motor skills, whilst interacting with our friends and having fun each week!

 

Join our club and improve your skills with threading, tracing, cutting and so much more, to enable us to become even more confident when using a pencil and writing.

 

Origami Club

Are you creative? Do you like making things?

 

If so, come and unfold your creativity in Origami club!

 

The art of origami allows you to develop fine motor skills and mental concentration, all of which stimulates the brain, particularly when using both hands. This is a lovely, arty, calming activity to finish your school day.

Puzzle club

Consider yourself a puzzle whizz? Looking for a great way to chill with your friends after school in a fun, engaging environment?

Want to learn how to exercise your brain whilst having a great time?

Come try out our puzzle club in 1 Woodpeckers on a Thursday afternoon.

It is an awesome way to discover a fun hobby, build a new skill or find friends with similar interests to you.

We have some great puzzles available, however please feel free to bring your own puzzles to share with the group.

Library club

Do you enjoy getting stuck into a good book?

 

Reading can be a fun and enjoyable way to spend leisure time. Books can take you to new worlds and introduce you to new characters.

 

We have plenty of books to choose from but feel free to bring your favourite.

Athletics Club
