Keeping children safe online is a shared responsibility—and we’re here to support you every step of the way
What We Do at School to promote Online Safety
- Teach four dedicated online safety lessons each term from Years 1 to 6

- Hold termly assemblies focused on key online safety themes
- Include online safety messages in computing and PSHE lessons
- Keep staff up to date with regular training on online safety and safeguarding
- Promote kindness, respect, and empathy in all digital
Safer Internet Day – February
To mark Safer Internet Day each year, we run special activities throughout the week to highlight the importance of online safety. It’s a great opportunity to start conversations at home too!
What we do for you
- Every month, we send out an online safety newsletter packed with tips, updates, and advice. Please find the latest ones on the ‘letters, news & documents’ part of the parents pages here Letters, News & Documents scroll to the bottom to see the latest ones.
- We host a parent workshops during the year, where you can learn about the latest apps and games children are using; how to set up parental controls and filters and recognising signs of online bullying or grooming.
How You Can Help at Home
You play a vital role in helping your child develop good digital habits. Here are a few simple tips:
- Talk regularly about what they enjoy online—and who they’re connecting with
- Set clear boundaries for screen time and device use
- Explore together—let your child show you their favourite games and apps
- Keep devices in shared spaces where possible
- Model positive behaviour by showing how you use technology responsibly
