School meals are provided by Chartwells. At Danetree Primary School lunches are freshly prepared on site every day and provide the children with tasty, filling and nutritious food.
School meals cost £2.50 payable via Parentpay. If you wish to change from packed lunch to school dinners (or vice versa) please fill in a ‘change of lunch arrangements’ form, which can be picked up from the school office. You can also put your request in writing to the School Office via email@example.com. One school week’s notice must be given for this change to take place. A charge will be made if no notice is received and a lunch was ordered for your child.
The cost of school meals for children in Y3 – Y6 will increase from £2.50 to £2.60 from 1st September 2023.
If you prefer your child to have a packed lunch, please pack a healthy selection of items that will give your child nourishment and energy. As nut free school we must ask that nuts of any kind are not sent into school in lunch boxes or as a snack – this includes peanut butter/Nutella sandwiches and Nutella snacks, as even these can trigger a serious reaction in some children who suffer from nut allergies.
As packed lunches are not refrigerated and are kept on trolleys in the corridor we ask that you use an insulated lunchbox.
On request, meals can be prepared for children with special dietary requirements - medical evidence will be required.
