Year 2 Area

Welcome to the Year 2 page. This is an exciting year at Danetree as our children develop their independence, resilience and confidence as learners across the curriculum and encounter exciting topics as part of our inspiring curriculum offer. Teachers will be getting them ready for the last year of Key Stage One and preparing them for their next challenge, the Key Stage Two curriculum in Year 3!

Each year, your child’s teacher is responsible for making a judgement about the standard your child is working. At Danetree Primary school, children sit tests in Year 1 – 6 throughout the year to help with this teacher assessment. Please check out the subjects section to find ways of supporting your child at home with their reading, writing and maths.
